What are your studio hours?

We don’t keep regular daytime hours at the studio,  The studio is only open when events are booked on the calendar.  Please see our schedule on our monthly calendar for availability.  Each event contains a list of details for all questions typically asked.

What do I bring with me?

Other than your sense of fun, you don’t have to bring a thing…we’ve got everything you need to create your masterpiece! However, you are welcome and encouraged to bring drinks and snacks to enjoy while painting.  Yep, that includes adult beverages, too!  Having a party?  Great!  Feel free to bring pizza, cakes, cupcakes, appetizers or anything else you can think of for your guests.  Please note that we don’t have a kitchen, so we don’t have ice, refrigerators or microwaves.

What if I am running late?

Our classes start promptly at the scheduled time. Students arriving more than 30 minutes late will not be admitted and funds will be forfeited. Students arriving late will be checked in as soon as the instructor is able to step away and may have to wait.

What if I have never painted before?

No problem!  Our classes are designed for all levels, from those who’ve never held a paint brush to professional artists.  Our fun and helpful instructors walk you step-by-step in creating your masterpiece.

What if we take longer than the allotted time?

This applies to both public and private events.  If you choose to paint longer than the time allotted, our instructors are required to charge $5 per person each half hour beyond the end time.  This is only an option when availability is possible.  It is not an automatic allowance.  Sorry, no exceptions.

What is the Cancellation/Reschedule policy?

We have a 24 hour cancelation policy.  We know that emergencies, sickness and other events happen, however, the cancellation policy is in place so that we can appropriately plan our classes and space.  There are no exceptions on this policy.

What is the difference in a Private Party and a Regular Class?

Private Parties are just that, they are private.  During private events, the studio venue is dedicated to your event and celebration.  Private parties are available in packages.  Any additional guests or time or medium can be provided with additional payments.  The host also has the opportunity to choose the painting selection.   for the event.

Public classes are open to all, so come by yourself or with a group.  Paintings for public classes are preselected and posted on our calendar.  Please see our calendar for all events scheduled.

What is the minimum age?

Our evening classes are designed for adults and our kid’s classes are designed for kids. So please keep that in mind when registering.  Friday and Saturday night adult classes are ages 18 and up. All other adult classes are 13 and up. Our policy requires that children/teens must be accompanied by a paying and painting adult for our evening classes.  For kids classes, you are welcome to drop and go. Our classes are not designed for infants and all attendees must be painting.  The only exception to this is adults that wish to stay and watch their children during kids classes are welcome to do so but during evening classes only painters will be allowed to enter.

What should I wear?

Wear paint appropriate clothing.  Our paints are acrylic and can stain. Masterpiece Mixers takes no responsibility for paint stains so please make sure to dress accordingly.

When should I arrive?

Studio doors open 30 minutes prior to class start time and we highly recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early as our check in process takes a few minutes to get everyone signed in, paint distributed, etc.  If forty people arrive at two minutes before class it makes it quite difficult so please try to arrive early.
